You hear a lot of things about double-barrel shotguns: the only ones moving are the small bores, restored is as good as new, American 12 gauges are dead, this is investment grade, and on and on. Most of these statements hold very little water. But “Condition is King” is something else you also hear and this auction looks like it’s going to prove that it’s true.

12 gauge BE grade A.H. Fox double barrel shotgun, lots of original condition

12 gauge BE grade A.H. Fox double barrel shotgun, lots of original condition

This 12 gauge A.H. Fox BE double barrel shotgun is up for auction on Gunbroker.com. It has 30″ Krupp steel barrels and a ton of original condition. Just take a look at the checkering and the engraving. That’s about as clean as a vintage American side-by-side shotgun gets.

One Response to “Very nice, very original A.H. Fox BE 12 gauge…”

    Dear Sir,
i appreciate if you just give an idea of the price of the same gun. Actually i have received the same brand from my father after his death, since he never hunted, so the gun is totally new. he used to say that he had just shot 2 bluets with this gun. I live in Iran, and these days because of financial problems i am thinking of selling the barrel. I desperately need to know about its approximate price. Please just give me an idea, thank you very much,
    Best regards,
    Abdolreza
