I haven’t, but I’ve always wanted to go. This video from the guys at Ketchum on the Fly in Ketchum, Idaho, shows why. I hear the trout fishing around there is awesome, too.

Yes, I have been to Idaho, returning home about one week ago. We hunted pheasants at Blixt & Co in the eastern part of the state. On six drives over 4,500 pheasants were flying about 40 yards above us,driven by a group of beaters. I can’t say enough about the service and first class accommodations at Blixt. Later that week we were in the Hell’s Canyon area of western Idaho where we shot five species of birds for two of our four days there. The walking is very difficult and not for the faint of heart but the scenery and topography is spectacular above and around the Salmon River.
I tried to post a few photos of these shoots but failed at my efforts.
