Parker VHE 16 Gauge SxS - MINTY, UNTOUCHED, 6LB 2OZ, UNTOUCHED

Parker VHE 16 Gauge SxS – MINTY, UNTOUCHED, 6LB 2OZ, UNTOUCHED

Parker VHE 16 Gauge SxS – MINTY, UNTOUCHED, 6LB 2OZ, UNTOUCHEDParker, Year 1930, 16 Gauge, 6lbs 3oz, Side by Side. Serial Number: 232983. There are LOTS of Parker VHE16ga. guns out there for sale, but this one stands above.  Look at the wood to metal fit, the checkering, the screws…they are factory original and superb.  All of the finishes, including the wood finish, are factory original and untouched.  Virtually 98% factory case color remains on the receiver, bold and vivid (keep in mind the photo flash washes out some of the vividness.  The colors show better in person).  There is  98% factory original blue on the barrels.  There is not one crack or split or repair anywhere in the wood, and the gun measures 14 1/4″ to the factory dogs head butt plate.  The 26″ barrels have no dings or pits, a few light handling marks, mirror perfect bores, unaltered 2 9/16″ chambers, rough barrel weight stamped at 3-2 (which is lighter than most every “O” frame 16ga. you will find), and crisp clear lettering and rib matting. Even the factory jewelling at the breech face remains strong and clear (see photos). Price: $8,950

In 1980 Mr. Patrick Whatley was the managing director of the new W&C Scott shop and had about 26 craftsmen at the facility, most from Webley & Scott. Mr. Whatley began as a gunmaker with Webley & Scott in 1947. Then in 1985 Holland & Holland bought all the assets of W&C Scott and it continued on from there with the Scott and H&H then offered their own new boxlock gun. Price: $6,500

    Gregg,

Maybe my eyes are going. I know they made 33,000 Parker VH’s…so there’s NO possibility that price isn’t a type, right?

Only a crackhead buys a Parker VH for. LEFEVER B grade price.

    – Nick

  2. Gregg says:

Yeah – it’s pricey, but it’s a 16g VHE and it’s light. Show me another like it with this kind of condition. I wouldn’t pay that much for it, but I’m not a nutty Parker collector.

    Gregg
