Shooting a rare Purdey double rifle…

Purdey .303 Double Barrel Underlever Rifle
Purdey .303 Double Barrel Underlever Rifle

Here’s an as-good-as-it-gets, best quality James Purdey & Sons double rife. Of the 30,000+ firearms that Purdey has made, fewer than 400 of them have been hammerless double rifles.

The one you see here is .303, snap-action underlever, made on a Beesley action and in excellent original condition.

  1. Wow. Though I’m partial to the holland and holland double rifles after seeing skyfall….

Site looks great in mobile now! Thanks.

  2. Yeah – that Purdey is sweet. Very nice to shoot, too. I had a chance to check out a H&H Royal DR, too. It was a big bore. Took some photos of the two rifles next to each other. I’ll put them up. Glad the update looks good.

    Happy New Year.
