A Perazzi isn’t the first over under that comes to my mind when I think “game gun” or “bird hunting”.
That’s because they’re famous for making heavy, reliable target guns instead of the kind of OUs you would want to carry in the field.
That being said, Perazzi did (and does) make some bird guns. The 20 gauge MX3 you see here is one of them. It’s on Gunbroker.com now and the listing ends 9/8/2018 @ 5:55 PM. Even though the opening bid is $3,000, it still looks like a deal for this gun.

The right shoulder of the action is marked “P.U 61609″. The trigger guard plate is marked “O/U” in front of the trigger guard. The interior of the forend bracket is marked “61609”. The left side of the top barrel is marked “Perazzi spa – MADE IN BRESCIA – ITALY / 20 GA – 3 – CHAMBER” CAM 70 followed by **** 15 8 just in front of chamber. The left side bottom barrel is marked “KG1250” followed by *** 15 8 just in front of chamber. The right-side top barrel is marked “IMPORTER – Palazzi – USA ROME – NEW YORK”. The bottom of the barrel below the chamber is marked with “* over a Shield * over PSF * over FINITO followed with the date code “AL” in square indicating manufacture in 1983. Between the forend lug and the action lugs is the marking “ACCIAIO SPECIAL”. Barrel Length: 26” Choke: Fixed. Barrel Choke: Improved Cylinder. Modified. Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a silver bead front sight set on a serrated ventilated rib in Excellent Condition Type of Finish: Blue in Excellent Condition Finish Originality: All Original Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion and is in Excellent Condition.
The Forend: HUNTING and is in excellent condition. Stock Configuration: 16 ENGLISH checkered walnut. The Stock Condition: Right side is in excellent condition and the left side has a small ½ scratch, one ½ and 2 small but deep compressions and a few faint hairlines scratches the bottom has five small chips or dings. The buttstock also has scattered light handling marks. The stock is in Very Good overall condition. I did send pictures to Perazzi and was told they could refinish the stock to new. Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The barrel finish shows normal slight thinning under where forend attaches. The vent-rib is in excellent condition. The factory markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in excellent. Mechanics: The action is tight and functions correctly and is in excellent condition. The ejectors pop as they should. I am the original owner and used only for hunting I don’t think I shot more than 4 or five cases of shells through this shotgun over the 35 years I have owned it. Original Peruzzi Case and Original Paperwork, Accessories Including Stock Removal Tool: This shotgun comes in original Peruzzi hard sided case black exterior, aluminum and steel hardware, blue original interior with separate sections for the barrel and forend, receiver, and 3rd and 4th sections for accessories. The exterior has some light scuffs and one 3 scratch on the edge of top lid. The interior shows little to no wear. Overall, the case is in Very Good condition. I have the original book including all paperwork, certificate of warranty, purchase record, model specifications and directions for maintenance, case tags and paperwork, important notice and even have the Peruzzi Patch it came with. All in Like New Condition.
