

Milestone Auctions in Willoughby, OH, has this 20g A.H. Fox AE side-by-side, and it’s coming up today, 1/25. The auction starts at 10am.


The A.H. Fox A-grade shotgun was one up from the company’s bottom-of-the-line Sterlingworth. Twenty-gauges were introduced in 1912. The one here has the second-engraving pattern on it.

Lot #497 ANSLEY FOX 20 BORE ENGRAVED SXS SHOTGUN: Serial #201716. Barrel length 28″. This is an A grade that has full and improved chokes. This beautiful shotgun features auto ejectors, solid rib, single bead blue barrels that retain approximately 97% of expertly re-applied blue finish Box lock is deep factory engraved, clean with traces of color. Checkered pistol grip stock with cap and composition black butt-plate. Has splinter fore-end with sharp checkering. The stocks have been beautifully restored to near mint condition. Bores are clean and this gun locks up like new.
