Awesome California Duck Club DHE 20ga Parker with 30″ barrels and special order features: Made on a “0” frame with splinter forend, straight stock, double triggers and original skeleton buttplate. This gun with several special order features which are mentioned in the PGCA letter (photo included), most importantly is the forend checkering which calls for the forend to be checkered all over- this is the only fully checkered original DHE 20ga I have seen. The gun remains in pleasing untouched original condition with about 20% original case color. Barrels are excellent with about 75% original toned blue. The stocks are sound (no cracks) and retain about 85% of their original finish wish scattered handling marks from time in the blind. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Exceedingly Rare Lefever FE Grade 20ga with beautiful Damascus barrels: For your consideration is an extremely rare Lefever FE Grade 20ga gun. Anyone who knows Lefever guns, knows well that the Lefever small bore guns simply don’t exist in nature. They are really rare and hard to find. This particular Lefever has gorgeous 28″ American Flag Damascus pattern. They are a thing of beauty!!! The gun has DT, AE, and auto safety. The capped PG buttstock is checkered in a two-point pattern. The splinter forend is checkered in typical later FE pattern with engraved steel escutcheon. The action is engraved in typical FE pattern with flying duck on left, falling woodcock on right surrounded by light scroll engraving. The gun retains more than 1/2 of its original case color, particularly nice and dark on the left side and on top. Barrels retain about 85%+ original damascus pattern. Screws are all excellent and the gun is totally unmolested. The stocks are sound and measure 2″ DAC, 3-1/4″ DAH and LOP is 13-3/4″ over the original lined HRBP. Both barrels measure .620 on the money, and the chokes are .012 (right) and .020 (left). Min walls are about.028 in each barrel. The gun weighs right at 6lbs. This is an extremely rare gun and easily one of the top FE 20ga I have seen in more than 25 years of aggressively chasing Lefevers. Price: $6895

Every Merkel shotgun I’ve seen has been very well made. And even though some (like this one) have looked clunky, they’ve all handled surprisingly well.

The 203E was Merkel’s entry-level sidelock shotgun. It features ejectors, double Kersten locks and hand-detachable back-action sidelocks. This one also features Briley chokes, making it extra versatile.
